10 years teaching private harmonica and guitar lessons. I teach out of Union Music Company (on Market St. @ Valencia).
Call Union Music for references: 415-775-6043.
Requirements: “C” Harmonica
I like students to purchase this book: Progressive Beginner Blues Harmonica by Peter Gelling (with CD & DVD). It’s about $20. It explains the basics of music theory really well, gives you concrete exercises to do at home, and has backing tracks to practice with.
You can get it at Union Music (sometimes they’re out of stock), or order it online at a place like Amazon (I gave it a good review). Direct link to book
Lesson times: I have various slots available M-F between 4:30pm and 6:00pm, and Saturdays.

Happy New Year!!!
Although it is February…
THis is the first post of 2013.
The latest news is I’ve put all my songs from my albums onto my youtube channel. www.youtube.com/alexwalshmusic
Youtube is where people find music these days, so i figured it was time to get that together. What a relief! I made videos with the album cover for each song. Very basic, but it gets the job done. If you’re inclined, let people know. Thanks!
I’m making progress on my site. Working hard. Figuring stuff out. I had to redo it all because it was hacked…
Well, my site was hacked. Somebody somewhere put all this crap into my wordpress site, so much that I had to delete the whole thing and start over. This prompted me to get a new theme and do a redesign. GoDaddy was amazingly helpful, so I totally recommend them.
So I’ll slowly get the site back in shape over the next few days. Here’s a shot of me from about 9 yrs ago…
